After brief career in Banking, my Medical Devices journey started at Smith-Nephew, where I had different Pricing roles until become EMEA Pricing Manager and build the pricing foundation of the organization by creating pricing policies, establishing successful strategy for new product launches, unlocking pricing opportunities through analytics, and finally deploying CPQ across European markets.
Currently, I’m the Head of Pricing Strategy for Convatec in Europe working closely with the Commercial & Market Access leadership on exploring nuances of each local reimbursement system and finding creative ways of improving both top and bottom lines. I’m passionate about advanced transactional analytics and machine learning which are my important allies on making recommendations on key business decisions.

In Medtronic, after starting in surgical devices, Raphael managed the Pricing and Contracting function for Italy and the held EMEA Strategic Pricing roles across the Cardiovascular space—including Structural Heart, Cardiac Surgery, Coronary, and Aortic—and is currently focused on Diabetes.. Previously, Raphael worked in the industrial sector and Strategy management consulting.

Pol has a successful market strategy track record, having led the European launch of Alpro Soyfoods and been named Belgium’s Marketer of the Year. He has also held key roles at McBride PLC and Conoco-Phillips, where pricing was a primary focus.
As the initiator and president of the EPP, Pol oversees vision development and daily management. He is also an experienced consultant and guest lecturer at international universities, with extensive experience in product management, market strategy, and price management across various industries worldwide.
